Crewe Hall @ Crewe - Past the Border - Review

We have just had a loverly two day break at Crewe Hall located in Cheshire. Yes Crewe being in Cheshire, England and not Wales, well we do cross the border from time to time.

Built in at the beginning of the 1600s for Sir Randolph Crewe, it was one of the county's largest houses of its time, and was said to have "brought London into Cheshire".  The old part of the hotel is very fancy! Just make sure thats the part you stay in otherwise you will think you are in a modern city hotel.

The hotel has a grand drive that sets your expectations high.

The rear of the building is surrounded by a beautiful garden

View from our room.

On entering the hotel you are greeted by a grand hallway.

The hall has it's own chapel.

Our wonderful bedroom with its own sitting room.

The bedroom had it's very own four poster bed.

It also had a secret door!
